Severance Package Question - Anyone Have Experience?

Hypothetically speaking, if Target were to do layoffs, what kind of severance package could we expect? I'm in a senior analyst role (Marketing) and have been with the company for 4 years. I've heard whispers of 2 weeks per year of service, but I'm curious if anyone has first-hand knowledge from previous restructurings, either at Target or similar companies. Trying to get a sense of what my options might be if the worst happens. Any insight is appreciated!

Hey, I remember hearing something similar about 2 weeks per year a while back. It really depends on the role and how they structure things. For analysts, they may be generous, but take that with a grain of salt. Start documenting your accomplishments now. Having a solid portfolio or list will help you when applying to other companies.

Honestly, don't count your chickens before they hatch. Severance packages are rarely as generous as rumors suggest. While two weeks per year of service is a *possibility*, it's more likely to be closer to a week per year. Start networking now, update your resume, and get your feelers out there. That's more productive than speculating about severance. Good luck!
