Teleflex: Anybody else's team feeling the pinch lately?

Throwaway for obvious reasons. Been at Teleflex for a bit now, and it feels like things are tightening up. My manager's been really cagey about headcount projections for next year, and there's been a noticeable slowdown in project approvals that require significant new investment. We lost a couple of people unexpectedly a few months back (not performance-related, from what I understand), and those roles haven't been backfilled. Now, there's talk about consolidating some functions and optimizing processes, which usually translates to fewer people doing more work, or worse. Has anyone else heard similar rumblings or seen concrete signs of budget cuts or restructuring impacting their specific teams or departments within Teleflex? Trying to get a sense of the broader picture beyond my immediate bubble. Appreciate any insights.

Yeah, I've been picking up on similar vibes. It feels like the 'growth at all costs' mentality has definitely shifted. The whispers about restructuring and a more conservative approach to spending seem to be gaining traction internally. It's tough when you see good people leaving and no clear plan for replacements, makes you wonder about the long-term stability and where the priorities are really heading. Definitely a change from how things felt even a year ago.

Interesting to hear someone else saying this. We're definitely feeling it too, especially with the increased scrutiny on expenses and longer approval cycles for any new initiatives. It's creating a bit of a bottleneck for progress. The silence on hiring and the talk of consolidation are concerning, makes it hard to plan ahead with any certainty. Hoping it's just a temporary phase to navigate market conditions, but it's definitely palpable.
