Anyone else hearing whispers about Q3 restructuring?

Is it just me, or has the vibe in the corporate office shifted significantly over the last month? I’ve been with Tenet for a few years now, and usually, the communication flow is pretty consistent, but lately, everything feels oddly locked down. I’ve heard rumors from a couple of people in finance about potential 'efficiency initiatives' coming down the pipeline before the end of the quarter. It’s hard to tell if this is just standard corporate paranoia or if there’s actual smoke here. We’ve seen other major players in the healthcare space trim their administrative headcount recently, and I’m wondering if we’re next on the chopping block. My manager has been extremely vague during our last few 1:1s, almost like they’re reading from a script. Has anyone else noticed an uptick in internal meetings that don't seem to have a clear agenda, or am I just reading too much into the current market climate? Trying to figure out if I should start polishing the resume this weekend or if I’m just psyching myself out.

I’ve been seeing the same thing over in my department. It definitely feels like the walls are closing in a bit with the communication blackout. Every time 'efficiency initiatives' get mentioned by upper management, it’s usually code for layoffs or budget slashing that ruins the culture for a few months. Honestly, I’d suggest keeping your resume updated just in case. When the information flow stops this abruptly, it’s rarely because they’re planning a holiday party. Better to be prepared for a shift than blindsided when the email hits.

Honestly, I wouldn't overthink it yet. We hear these whispers every single quarter without fail. The 'corporate vibe' shifts all the time depending on what the analysts are saying about the stock price or whatever new project they are pushing from the top down. Unless you have hard data, it’s probably just standard posturing to keep people on their toes. I’ve survived three of these so-called restructuring scares in the last few years, and we’re all still here. Just keep your head down, do your job, and let the rumors die out.
