It’s honestly soul-crushing watching it happen in real-time. I remember when the Fremont floor felt like it was buzzing with actual energy, but now it’s just a ghost town. When you see your colleagues being locked out of their accounts one by one, it’s impossible to focus on the work. Everyone is just looking over their shoulder, counting the days until their own number comes up. The culture is completely dead, and it feels like the company is just hollowed out and coasting on fumes at this point.
I’m not sure why anyone is still surprised by these updates. This is exactly how they’ve always operated—prioritizing the bottom line over the people who built the product. If you’re still there, you need to be updating your resume and looking for an exit strategy immediately. It’s a sinking ship and the management clearly couldn't care less about the human toll. Stop waiting for the ax to drop and start looking for a workplace that actually values your contribution before you’re just another statistic in a WARN notice.
