Anyone else feel the vibe shift? What's going on?

Been at Tesla for a few years now, and things are definitely feeling... different. Heard some whispers and saw some articles about layoffs, but nothing concrete for my department. Still, the energy in the office has changed. Less optimism, more heads down. A few managers I used to chat with casually have either left or gone quiet. Some of them were pretty high up too. It's making people nervous, you know? You see the news about other companies doing cuts, and even though we haven't had anything official here, you start wondering. Anyone else in the same boat? Seeing this kind of shift where you work? What are your theories? Is it just the market, or is something bigger happening internally? Trying to get a pulse on things without causing a panic.

Yeah, I've noticed it too, even from the outside. Seems like the initial hype has definitely calmed down, and there's a lot more scrutiny on the company these days. The big production numbers and ambitious timelines used to dominate the conversation, but now it feels like more focus is on the bottom line and navigating market changes. Hard to say exactly what's behind it all without being in the trenches, but the overall sentiment has shifted for sure.

It's understandable why people would be feeling uneasy. When there's uncertainty or rumors circulating, especially about job security, it can really impact morale and productivity. That sense of unease you're describing, with fewer casual interactions and a general shift in energy, is a pretty common reaction in those situations. Hopefully, clear communication comes soon to address the concerns and restore a sense of stability.
