Morale is in the dumpster, anyone else feeling it?

Okay, so I know there's been talk about layoffs for a while, and some managers have definitely bounced. But it feels like more than just that. The vibe around the office (or virtual office, as it were) is just… heavy. People are stressed, constantly looking over their shoulder. We're being asked to do more with less, and the communication from higher-ups is pretty much non-existent unless it's a blanket announcement. It's hard to stay motivated when you feel like your job is on the line every other week, and there's no clear direction. Is this just the new normal, or is it a sign of something bigger coming down the pipeline? Feels like we're in survival mode.

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. The uncertainty is brutal. It seems like every week there's some new rumor or a slight shift in direction that makes you wonder what's next. It's tough to focus on projects when you're constantly bracing for potential changes. Hoping for some clarity soon, because this constant low-level anxiety is definitely impacting productivity and just the general enjoyment of coming to work.

Totally get what you're saying. The 'doing more with less' mantra is wearing thin, and the lack of transparent communication is making things worse. It feels like we're navigating in the dark a lot of the time. I've seen good people leave because of this atmosphere, and it's hard not to feel a bit discouraged yourself when that happens.
