Morale taking a hit lately

Okay, so I haven't been laid off, and my team hasn't had official cuts, but man, the morale lately is rough. It feels like there's a cloud hanging over everyone. People are jumpy, and there's a lot of quiet speculation. I've seen a couple of senior people leave abruptly, and when I asked around, the unofficial story was they were part of some 'restructuring' or maybe even pushed out before things got worse. It's hard to stay motivated when you feel like your job security is constantly up in the air, even if nothing has been announced yet. We used to have such a strong sense of mission, but lately, it feels more like just trying to survive the week. Anyone else feeling this decline? How are you coping with the uncertainty and the general mood? Just want to know if it's just my perception or if it's widespread.

That sounds incredibly stressful. It's completely understandable that morale would be suffering when there's so much uncertainty and people are seeing senior colleagues depart unexpectedly. It's a tough environment when you're constantly on edge and wondering what's around the corner. Trying to stay focused on your work must be a real challenge when job security feels so fragile. Hopefully, some clarity comes soon for everyone there.

Yeah, that vibe is palpable even from the outside. When there's a lack of clear communication and exits start happening, people naturally start to worry about their own positions. It's a classic sign of underlying issues, and it makes it hard for anyone to feel secure or invested. It’s a shame when that kind of atmosphere takes hold, as it can really impact productivity and overall well-being for the whole team.
