Heard some chatter through the grapevine about significant cuts within the Supercharger division, even though nothing's been officially confirmed by corporate comms. There have been some articles and Mastodon posts [6, 7] referencing this, but it's hard to get a clear picture. My buddy's cousin works there and mentioned people are being asked to 'transition' into other roles or take a package. It seems like a strategic shift, maybe related to the NACS standard and partnerships. But the lack of transparency is frustrating. Are these targeted cuts, or is it part of a larger trend? Anyone on the inside have more concrete info on what's happening with the Supercharger teams?

The rumors about Supercharger layoffs have been circulating for a while. It's tough to get definitive answers when official channels are silent. If there's a strategic pivot towards NACS and industry partnerships, it makes sense that internal resources might be reallocated. Hopefully, any impacted employees are treated fairly and given good options, whether that's within Tesla or through generous severance. It'll be interesting to see how this impacts network expansion and reliability going forward, especially with competitors coming online with their own charging solutions.
