Hiring freezes and project cuts at TI?

Been hearing a lot of whispers around the office lately, and it's not just about the new coffee machine. Feels like hiring has pretty much stopped dead in its tracks. My team’s been trying to backfill a critical role for months with no luck. On top of that, a couple of projects that were greenlit last quarter are suddenly on ice, or at least significantly scaled back. Budgets seem to be under the microscope more than ever. Anyone else seeing this? Trying to figure out if it's just my division or a broader trend across TI. Wondering what this means for the rest of the year, especially with the market feeling a bit shaky overall.

Yeah, I've been feeling the same vibe in my department too. It's definitely not just you. We've had requisitions stalled for ages, and even internal transfers are getting the cold shoulder. The general atmosphere is pretty tense, and everyone's looking over their shoulder, wondering about future headcount. Feels like the purse strings are being held incredibly tight right now, which is a bit unnerving given the market conditions. Hopefully, it's a temporary blip and not a sign of deeper issues.
