Just bombed a TI interview - advice for the next one?

Well, that was embarrassing. Had an interview for a system applications role yesterday, and I completely choked. I thought I was prepared, but the technical questions were way more in-depth than I expected. They grilled me on signal integrity and power management, and I stumbled hard. Anyone have any tips for acing the technical interview at TI? What kind of questions should I be prepared for? Any specific resources you'd recommend studying? I really want to work at TI, but I need to seriously up my game.

Hey, don't beat yourself up too much! TI's interviews *are* tough. Signal integrity and power management are definitely their bread and butter for system applications. I'd suggest brushing up on your understanding of transmission lines, impedance matching, and different power converter topologies (buck, boost, etc.). Look for application notes on TI's website itself; they often delve into practical considerations and best practices. Good luck on your next attempt!

Honestly, expecting detailed signal integrity questions for a system app role is kinda excessive. It sounds like they might have been testing how you handle pressure and admit knowledge gaps. Maybe next time, instead of trying to BS your way through, be upfront if you're unsure but outline your problem-solving approach. Saying "I'm not familiar with that specific scenario, but I would start by researching X and considering Y factors" is often better than giving a confidently wrong answer.
