Performance reviews and 'rightsizing' talk

So, performance review season is upon us, and I'm hearing some slightly more pointed language than usual around 'organizational efficiency' and 'strategic workforce alignment'. It's all very corporate speak, obviously, but it's making me a bit nervous. My manager has been cagey when I've asked about team structure for next year. Usually, it's just about projects, but now it's more about 'evaluating skill sets' and 'ensuring optimal resource allocation'. I haven't seen any specific layoff news for TI, but this kind of internal talk always raises an eyebrow. Anyone else experiencing similar discussions with their managers or HR? Makes you wonder what the long-term plan is.
