Planning for the worst - severance questions

Okay, so I haven't heard anything concrete about layoffs at TI, but the rumors have been persistent for a few weeks now. I'm in embedded processing, been here for 7 years. My performance has been solid, but in this market, you never know. I'm trying to be proactive and figure out what to expect if the worst happens. Does anyone know what TI's typical severance package looks like? Like, how many weeks of pay per year of service? Any info on continued health benefits or outplacement services? Trying to mentally prepare and have a backup plan. Would love to hear from anyone who might have insight or experience from previous cycles.

I know the uncertainty is stressful, but try not to jump to conclusions too quickly. While it's smart to be prepared, TI has historically been pretty stable. I've been here a while myself and haven't seen major layoffs like some other tech companies. If something does happen, they've usually been fair with severance. My colleague who left a few years back got a decent package, a few weeks per year plus some months of benefits continuation. Keep an eye on official communications and hopefully, these rumors are just noise.

Honestly, I wouldn't put too much stock in what's being whispered. The market's always a bit bumpy, but TI is in a strong position with its core business. If you're concerned, your best bet is to check the internal HR portal or reach out to your manager discreetly. They'll have the official policy. Speculating on severance details without concrete information can just increase anxiety. Focus on your performance and what you can control. Remember, rumors often get amplified in times like these.
