I haven't been through a layoff at TI myself, but my understanding from ex-colleagues is that the severance is pretty standard. The 2 weeks per year of service sounds about right, possibly with a minimum floor. It's definitely worth digging through your employee handbook or HR portal, if you can access it discreetly. Also, check sites like Glassdoor, sometimes people post details about severance packages there. Good luck, hope you don't need it!
Don't get too worked up about rumors. Severance packages are often discretionary and depend on the circumstances of the layoff. They might give more to some roles or groups than others, especially if they need people to sign NDAs. Focus on what you *can* control: update your resume, network, and maybe brush up on your interview skills. As for the stock options, it's probably wise to understand their vesting schedule and expiration dates regardless of layoff speculation.
