TI Project Freezes & Hiring Slowdown - What's Going On?

Hey everyone, been at TI for a few years now and something feels off. Been hearing whispers and seeing signs that a lot of new projects are getting put on indefinite hold or outright canceled. Hiring seems to have screeched to a halt too, especially for experienced roles. My team's roadmap is looking pretty bare for the next year, which is a huge change from how it used to be. Normally, even if things were a bit slow, there were always new initiatives kicking off. Now, it's just... quiet. Anyone else in a similar boat or have any intel on what might be happening behind the scenes? Is this a company-wide thing or just certain divisions? Trying to get a sense of the broader picture before things potentially get worse. Not necessarily worried about immediate layoffs, but this feels like a precursor to something. Just want to understand if this is just my perception or if others are seeing the same trends.

I've noticed a similar pattern on my team. We were expecting a significant ramp-up in Q3, but most of those plans have been shelved. It's making it hard to stay motivated when the future direction feels so uncertain. I'm trying to focus on existing deliverables and professional development, but the lack of new opportunities is definitely a concern. Wondering if this is a company-wide strategy shift or if it's specific to certain divisions. Curious to hear if anyone has insights into the broader market conditions affecting TI's investment decisions. Could be a response to semiconductor industry fluctuations.
