Anyone else seeing red flags at Textron lately?

Hey all, been at Textron Aviation for a few years now, primarily on the engineering side. Lately, the vibe has been... off. We're hearing a lot of 'realignments' and 'efficiency drives' but no concrete numbers or official announcements. Management's being pretty cagey. My department has had a couple of 'restructures' where people suddenly found themselves out of a job with little notice. It feels like they're trying to avoid a big, splashy layoff announcement and are instead doing it in drips and drabs. Has anyone else experienced this, or have any intel on what's *really* going on? Seeing a lot of posts about other aerospace companies making cuts, wondering if we're next or if this is just our new normal.

Yeah, I've heard similar rumblings from friends at other Textron divisions. It seems like a company-wide trend of uncertainty. The 'realignments' without clear communication always make people nervous. When you see positions eliminated without explanation, it creates a lot of anxiety about job security. Hope things stabilize soon for everyone there.

This is concerning. I worked in a similar situation where 'efficiency drives' turned out to be a euphemism for significant workforce reductions. The lack of transparency from management is a major red flag. Keep an eye on your departmental budgets and any informal discussions, as those often hint at what's coming before any official word.
