At this point, the rumors feel like background noise. I’ve seen this exact cycle play out every few months for years now. If management actually pulls the trigger on a VSP, the talent drain would be massive. The senior folks I talk to are burnt out and checking the portal daily, just waiting for a reason to pack it up and move on. It’s hard to stay focused on projects when everyone is constantly speculating about the next round of restructuring. At least it keeps the water cooler talk interesting, I guess.
If they dropped a solid package, half my department would be out the door by Friday afternoon. The workload has been increasing while the communication from leadership remains vague at best. It’s exhausting to live in this state of perpetual uncertainty, wondering if a 'pivot to efficiency' email is coming to cut our headcount yet again. Most of us are just exhausted and tired of playing the waiting game. I’d take the severance in a heartbeat if the terms were right, and I know I'm definitely not the only one.
