Anyone else noticing a hiring freeze at X?

Been here a while and things are definitely quiet on the hiring front. Usually, we'd see new roles popping up regularly, but it's been crickets for months. My team is stretched thin and there's no sign of backfill. Managers are tight-lipped when asked about future headcount. It feels less like just a slow period and more like a deliberate pause. Anyone else in recruiting or management seeing similar things internally? Is this the calm before a storm, or just the new normal?

Yeah, it's not just you. I've heard from a few folks in different departments that hiring has slowed to a crawl. It's definitely a noticeable shift from how things used to be. Everyone's wondering what it means long-term. Trying to stay optimistic, but it's hard not to worry a bit when the pipelines dry up like this. Hopefully, it's just a strategic regrouping, but time will tell.

Definitely seeing the same thing from where I sit. The usual churn of new positions and internal transfers has pretty much stopped. It's creating a bit of an anxious atmosphere, especially for those looking to grow or move teams. The lack of clear communication from leadership about it isn't helping either. Feels like we're all just waiting for direction, and the silence is deafening.
