Is X hiring freeze impacting growth roles?

Seeing a lot of chatter about internal hiring freezes and even some roles being frozen indefinitely, especially in growth marketing and some product areas. Didn't see any official comms about a company-wide hiring freeze, but my team's been trying to fill a couple of open reqs for weeks and keep getting told the roles are 'under review' or 'on hold.' This is happening across a few different departments from what I'm hearing from colleagues. It makes sense given the economic climate, but it's a bit concerning if they're serious about growth targets. Wondering if this is specific to certain teams or if it's a broader, unannounced slowdown. Anyone else's teams struggling to get new headcount approved or seeing open roles disappear?
