That sucks, man. I know the feeling. Got the axe from a startup last year. Burnout is real, especially after acquisitions. First, take a breath. Then, hit up your network hard. LinkedIn, old colleagues, recruiters - the works. File for unemployment ASAP. Don't be afraid to reach out for help, even if it's just someone to vent to. The market IS tough, but infrastructure experience is still valuable. Good luck!
Three years and you didn't see this coming? C'mon, everyone knew Musk was going to gut the place. Senior engineer, Bay Area - you should have enough saved to last longer than a few months. Anyway, take this as a wake-up call. Diversify your skills, maybe look into something other than big tech. The world is bigger than Twitter, or whatever it's calling itself this week.
