X Layoff Rumors - What's the real story?

Been seeing a lot of chatter lately, not just on here but elsewhere too. Some of it's about the age discrimination case, which is obviously not great PR, but seems like there are other undercurrents. People are definitely feeling uneasy. Are there any actual leaks or solid rumors about upcoming cuts? Not just general 'tech is rough' stuff, but anything specific to X/Twitter? Feels like the engineering and maybe some product teams could be vulnerable, especially after the recent shifts. Anyone with insider info, please share. Trying to gauge the situation before it hits.

The age discrimination lawsuit is definitely a major red flag, and it wouldn't surprise me if that's a catalyst for some restructuring, whether forced or otherwise. Beyond that, the platform's ongoing revenue challenges and the constant feature churn suggest a company still trying to find its footing. I've heard whispers about consolidations in certain departments, particularly those that might overlap with newer initiatives. It's hard to get solid info, but the general vibe points to continued belt-tightening.

Honestly, I think the "rumors" are just amplified by the general uncertainty surrounding the platform since the acquisition. Every tech company is facing economic headwinds, so "layoff rumors" are almost a constant background noise these days. While specific departments might be feeling pressure, especially if they aren't directly contributing to revenue growth or critical infrastructure, it's hard to separate actual insider knowledge from educated guesses and fear-mongering. The lack of official communication from X itself only fuels speculation.
