X's 'Optimization' - Is anyone else seeing this pattern?

Is it just me, or is X's current approach to 'optimization' basically a slow-motion layoff? They keep talking about 'streamlining' and 'efficiency,' but what I'm seeing is teams getting smaller, critical roles being consolidated, and a ton of extra work being piled onto the remaining people. It's not like a big RIF where you get a notice and a package. It's more like people are subtly pushed out, or their roles become untenable, or they just... disappear. Saw a post on another platform about potential age discrimination in past role eliminations, and it got me thinking. This feels like a strategy to avoid severance costs and public outcry. Anyone else in a similar boat, or have insights into what's really going on behind the scenes? The lack of transparency is maddening.

I've definitely noticed something similar. It feels less like 'optimization' and more like a gradual erosion of capacity. Instead of clear announcements, there's this creeping feeling of roles becoming less defined or even redundant, forcing people to either adapt to an overwhelming workload or seek opportunities elsewhere. The 'streamlining' often seems to mean individuals wearing multiple hats until they're stretched too thin. It's a concerning trend if it continues, as it impacts the platform's ability to function effectively.
