Anyone else hearing whispers of restructuring in the tech org?

I've been at Optum for almost 7 years now, mostly doing backend engineering. Things have been... weird lately. Lots of closed-door meetings with the VPs, projects being put on hold with little explanation, and a general sense of unease in my team. My manager keeps saying everything is fine, but she also seems stressed to the max. Anyone else experiencing similar vibes? I'm not sure if it's just paranoia, but I'm starting to think a reorg might be coming, which usually means some people are gonna get the axe. Trying not to freak out, but the silence from leadership is deafening.

Yeah, I'm hearing similar things in the data science org. My spidey-sense is tingling. I went through a reorg at another company and the signs were almost identical: sudden project freezes, VP huddles, and the constant 'everything is fine!' mantra. Start quietly updating your resume and brush up on your interviewing skills. It's always better to be prepared, even if nothing happens. Good luck!

Honestly, this happens every year around this time. It's performance review season and budget planning. Everyone gets anxious. Unless you see actual org charts changing or people being let go, I wouldn't jump to conclusions. Take a deep breath and focus on your work. Worrying about things you can't control just adds to the stress.
