Visa rumor mill is on FIRE - hearing anything?

Okay, I know these threads can be a bit much, but the anxiety is getting to me. I'm in product, been here about 3 years. Usually pretty plugged in, but things have been radio silence lately from my manager and skip-level. I keep hearing whispers in the hallways about 'restructuring' and 'streamlining' which, let's be real, usually translates to layoffs. Anyone else hearing anything specific? What teams are supposedly on the chopping block? Just trying to mentally prepare myself, even if it's all just BS.

Yeah, I've heard similar rumblings, mostly around some of the older product lines that haven't been performing as well. It's tough when the company goes quiet. I went through something similar at my last job. The uncertainty is the worst part. My advice? Start updating your resume *now*, just in case. It's better to be prepared than caught off guard. Polish your LinkedIn too and discreetly start networking. Even if nothing happens, it's never a bad idea to refresh your profile.

Honestly, I'd take the hallway whispers with a grain of salt. People love to speculate, especially when things are quiet. Restructuring happens all the time in big companies. It doesn't *always* mean layoffs. That said, three years in product should give you a solid track record. Focus on your recent accomplishments and quantify your impact whenever possible. Maybe even proactively schedule a chat with your manager to discuss your contributions and future goals. It could help alleviate some of your anxiety and demonstrate your value.
