Saw the WARN notice hit for the Boone office. Another 218 people gone right as we're heading into the new year. It’s wild because I feel like we just did the big 13% reduction, and leadership keeps talking about 'efficiencies' and 'trimming costs' while the rest of us are left to pick up the slack. I’ve been here long enough to see the culture shift from 'growth at all costs' to this constant state of survival. People are exhausted. You spend half your day worrying if your manager is going to get a calendar invite from HR and the other half trying to hit these unrealistic output targets that management keeps pushing. It’s impossible to plan for the future when the ground keeps shifting. If you’re in Boone, please reach out if you need help with referrals or just need to vent. The market is tough right now, but we have to look out for each other because the company certainly isn’t looking out for us anymore.

The mood in the office is absolutely drained right now. It is getting impossible to focus on daily tasks when you are constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. We keep hearing about these supposed efficiencies, but it just feels like the workload keeps increasing for those of us left behind while the job security vanishes. Honestly, the uncertainty is becoming the most stressful part of the job; at this point, people are just looking for the exit on their own terms.

It is honestly depressing to watch the Boone office get gutted like this. I remember when this place felt like it had real momentum, but now it feels like a revolving door of layoffs. Leadership loves to use buzzwords like 'optimizing' to frame these decisions, but it ignores the human toll of burning out the remaining staff. If you are still there, update your resume immediately—the cycle doesn't seem to have an end in sight and loyalty is clearly not being rewarded.
