Anyone else hear whispers? Layoffs feel inevitable...

Just been seeing a lot of chatter, both internally and externally. The 'efficiency drive' talk from leadership last year still stings, and combined with the general market gloom, it feels like it's only a matter of time. Saw some posts referencing past layoffs and the focus on remote workers, which is concerning for those of us not in Boston. Has anyone gotten any direct feelers or heard anything more concrete than rumors? Trying to stay positive but it's getting harder to ignore the signs. Is anyone actively polishing their resume or reaching out to recruiters? Curious about what others are doing to prepare, just in case.

The 'efficiency drive' talk definitely felt like a precursor, didn't it? It's hard to shake that feeling, especially with the broader economic climate. I've also noticed the increased focus on cost-saving measures, which isn't exactly reassuring. It's frustrating trying to focus on work when this kind of uncertainty is hanging over us. I'm really hoping it's just speculation, but the signs are hard to ignore.

I'm in a similar boat. The chatter about past layoffs and the perceived targeting of remote employees has me pretty anxious, particularly being outside of the main hubs. It makes it difficult to feel secure in your role. I've been trying to keep my head down and perform well, but the constant speculation is a significant distraction. Hoping for some clarity soon, but bracing for the worst.
