Feeling the squeeze – remote impact?

Okay, so I know there haven't been any official announcements, but the chatter is getting louder. I'm in a remote role, and I've seen some posts elsewhere suggesting that remote workers might be disproportionately affected in potential cuts. Is there any truth to that? It feels like a really crummy way to handle things if true, especially after the push for remote work over the past few years. Just trying to get a sense of what's actually going on behind the scenes. Has anyone heard anything concrete or seen patterns that suggest this is the case? My team's been hitting targets, so it's confusing why there would be such drastic measures.

I haven't heard anything concrete about remote roles being specifically targeted, but the general vibe around potential changes has been unsettling for a while now. It's tough when there's so much uncertainty and speculation. I'm also in a remote position and definitely feeling the anxiety about what might be coming down the pipeline. It would be incredibly disappointing if remote employees were made to shoulder more of the burden after adapting so successfully to working from home.

The rumor mill has been churning, that's for sure. While I can't confirm anything specific about remote workers, the lack of official communication is making everyone nervous. I understand the frustration and concern, especially given how much the company encouraged remote setups previously. It feels like a lot of us have really stepped up and made it work, so seeing that potentially not matter in the end would be a real blow. Hopefully, we get some clarity soon.
