Rant: Seriously considering jumping ship - this place is a mess

I'm so over it. I've only been at Wayfair for 18 months, and I regret it every single day. The workload is insane, the communication is terrible, and the tech is ancient. My skip-level VP keeps promising improvements 'soon', but it's always empty words. I spend half my time fixing problems that shouldn't exist in the first place. I'm actively interviewing elsewhere, even if it means a pay cut. My mental health is more important than this dumpster fire. Anyone else feel the same? Seriously, what is keeping people here?!

I hear you. I lasted two years and saw the same promises made and broken. 'Soon' became a running joke. Honestly, prioritize that job search. I landed a role with better work/life balance (and slightly better pay!) at a smaller competitor. Sometimes getting out is the only way to find what you're looking for. Good luck!

Eighteen months in and already burned out? Wayfair's definitely not for everyone. High expectations are part of the deal. That said, before you jump, have you tried talking to your manager? Maybe there's a way to carve out a niche that fits you better or contribute to the improvements you want to see? Just a thought before you potentially leave money on the table.
