Severance Package Details - What to Expect?

I've seen some chatter about potential layoffs and wanted to get a sense of what the severance package usually looks like at Wayfair. I'm in a tech role (Software Engineer, L3) and have been here for 3 years. Does anyone have experience with previous layoffs or know what the standard package includes (weeks of pay, benefits continuation, outplacement services, etc.)? Any insights would be helpful, even if it's just anecdotal. Trying to prepare myself financially in case the worst happens. Thanks!

Sorry to hear you're worried. From what I've gathered in the past, Wayfair's severance is usually around 2 weeks of pay per year of service, plus benefits continuation for a few months. Outplacement services are often offered, but the quality can vary, so do your research. It's wise to be prepared; update your resume and start networking now, even if just casually. Hopefully, it's all just rumors!

Honestly, don't get your hopes up too high. I saw a round of layoffs a few years back, and people weren't exactly thrilled with the severance offered. It met legal minimums, sure, but it wasn't anything generous like you hear from some FAANG companies. Three years might get you enough to bridge to a new job, but start budgeting *aggressively* now and look into unemployment benefits in your state, just in case.
