Severance Package Question - Anyone have experience?

Hypothetically speaking, if layoffs were to happen, does anyone have experience with Wayfair's severance packages? I'm trying to get a sense of what to expect, like weeks per year of service, benefits continuation, etc. I've heard some companies are generous, and others, not so much. Trying to prepare myself, just in case. Even a range would be helpful. I'm a Senior Analyst on the supply chain team, been here 3 years. I figure it's better to be informed than caught completely off guard. Hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst!

Wayfair severance can be tricky. I had a friend in marketing laid off last year after 5 years. She got about 8 weeks base pay, I think, plus they covered her health insurance for 2 months. It was a negotiation, though. They initially offered less. Definitely research similar roles at other companies *before* any announcement. Knowing your market value gives you leverage if you need to negotiate your package. Good luck – hope it's all just a hypothetical!

Honestly, don't get your hopes up *too* high. While some companies are known for generous severance, Wayfair hasn't historically been one of them. Three years isn't a super long tenure. Expect maybe 4-6 weeks, tops. Start polishing that resume *now*, quietly, and network with your contacts. Having a job lined up already is the best severance package you can get! Better to be proactive than rely on what they might offer.
