Wayfair Interview Tips - Sharing My Experience (Analytics)

Went through the interview process for a Senior Analyst role on the pricing team a few months back and thought I'd share my experience. First round was with the hiring manager, pretty standard behavioral questions and a high-level overview of the role. Second round was a technical interview with two analysts, focusing on SQL and some data analysis questions. The third and final round was a case study presentation to the VP of Analytics. They really grilled me on my assumptions and recommendations, so be prepared to defend your work. Overall, the process was pretty thorough but fair. Make sure you brush up on your SQL skills and practice your presentation skills. Good luck to anyone interviewing!

Thanks for sharing your experience! Good to know the VP is involved in the final round, that's definitely something to prepare for. Case study presentations are always nerve-wracking. Did they give you the case study ahead of time, or was it something you had to work on during the interview?

Sounds like a pretty standard analytics interview process. Honestly, I've heard mixed things about Wayfair's analytics team. Some say they are pushing the boundaries and really data-driven, while others say it's a bit of a black box. Anyone else have insight into the culture of the analytics team?
