Can confirm the reports from the Register. We lost 14 folks in the West Des Moines office on the 20th. It wasn't a massive department-wide shuttering, but it was targeted enough to be felt. A few friends in the group were blindsided, and it seems like they are pushing the remaining workload to other hubs. HR was tight-lipped as always during the exit meetings. If you’re in WDM, keep your resumes polished and your LinkedIn status updated. It’s clear that leadership is still looking to trim operational costs by any means necessary, even if they aren't doing the headline-grabbing 'thousands of employees' announcements anymore. You think you're safe until you aren't, and the 'restructuring' excuses from leadership are wearing thin. To those affected, I’m truly sorry—take some time for yourselves, and don't take it personally. This company treats tenure like a liability. For everyone still sitting in their desks, start looking for an exit strategy immediately. It’s better to be proactive than to be caught off guard when the next wave hits your specific department.

Thanks for the heads-up. It's frustrating how they handle these exits with such total silence. I’ve been hearing rumblings about the WDM site for a while now, but seeing the confirmation makes it feel way too real. Management talks about efficiency, but all I see is a lack of transparency and a culture of constant anxiety. I’ve already updated my portfolio and reached out to a few recruiters.
