West Des Moines office: Is anyone else packing up?

Just saw the WARN notice hit for the 86 people in WDM. It feels like this is becoming a monthly ritual at this point. I’m in one of the impacted groups and honestly, the severance package is pretty bare bones considering the tenure some of us have here. The communication from leadership has been nonexistent as usual; they just send out the canned emails about 'optimizing our footprint' while we all know the work is just being shipped off to India or the Philippines. If you’re currently in a mortgage-adjacent role, I’d suggest updating your LinkedIn today rather than waiting for the calendar invite to appear. This is the third wave in my department alone this year. Does anyone know if there’s a internal list of open roles that aren't being frozen, or is the internal portal a total dead end right now?

I was in the WDM office for over a decade, and reading that WARN notice felt like a punch to the gut. The severance package is an absolute insult after years of hitting targets and sacrificing work-life balance. It is incredibly frustrating how they hide behind corporate buzzwords like 'optimizing the footprint' while handing out pink slips to loyal employees. The lack of transparency from management is exactly why morale has been in the gutter for months. Good luck to everyone getting the boot today; this place stopped caring about its people a long time ago.

Honestly, the constant cycle of layoffs here has become predictable. Every time a new memo lands in my inbox about 'strategic restructuring,' I know someone is getting cut. It is a shame to see the West Des Moines site hollowed out like this, but at this point, you have to look out for yourself. If you are still there, update your resume immediately and don't count on the company to value your service. These leadership teams clearly only care about quarterly reports and offshore outsourcing now. It's just business, but that doesn't make it any less pathetic.
