WF - Anyone else feeling the pressure cooker lately?

I've been with Wells Fargo for almost 8 years now, in the mortgage servicing department. Things have been... tense. I'm seeing a lot of process changes lately, more scrutiny on metrics, and whispers of 'restructuring' floating around. My manager has been visibly stressed, and even though she assures us everything is fine, her behavior says otherwise. I'm constantly checking my email, bracing for the worst. Anyone else experiencing this in their department? Is it just my team, or is this a company-wide thing?

I hear you. I'm in a different department (commercial banking), but the increased pressure is definitely company-wide. They keep talking about efficiency and 'streamlining,' which is usually code for job cuts. My advice? Polish up your resume and start quietly looking. It's always better to be prepared than caught off guard. Document everything too, just in case.

Honestly, this sounds like the usual ebb and flow of a large corporation. Wells Fargo has had its fair share of scandals, so increased scrutiny is probably a good thing, right? Maybe they're actually trying to improve. Eight years is a good run, and restructurings happen. Try focusing on your performance and ignore the gossip. It might all blow over. If not, you'll be in a strong position to move on with a solid record.
