WF Home Lending - is this the end?

Reading the news about another round of layoffs hitting the home lending division at Wells Fargo. It feels like it's been a constant stream of bad news for that sector for a while now. Saw a mention on MSN about this latest wave, supposedly impacting around 200 employees. It's grim. I'm wondering if this is a sign of deeper structural issues in the mortgage business at WF, or just the broader economic climate affecting everyone. Feels like whenever there's a dip in the housing market, home lending is the first to feel the pain. Anyone else in that part of the business seeing this firsthand? What's the vibe like on the ground? Is anyone there actually safe, or is it just a matter of time? Seems like a lot of the jobs are also being pushed overseas, which is another layer to the whole thing. Just trying to get a sense of the landscape and if there's any stability to be found anywhere in that division right now.

Yeah, it's been rough watching the home lending sector at WF. Feels like a never-ending cycle of restructuring and layoffs there, regardless of the broader market conditions. Makes you wonder about their long-term strategy for that business. Hard to have confidence when it seems like constant upheaval. Hope those impacted land on their feet quickly.
