Seriously, if you're reading this and you have another offer, TAKE IT. I've been here 15 years, and the slow decline has been agonizing. The constant reorganizations, the shifting priorities, the soul-crushing bureaucracy... it's all designed to wear you down. They squeeze every last drop of productivity out of you, then toss you aside when they find someone cheaper. I'm in Compliance, and the amount of extra work they load on us is insane. Meanwhile, senior management sits in their ivory towers, completely disconnected from reality. I used to be proud to work here. Now, I'm just counting down the days until I can escape this hellhole. Save yourself the misery.

I feel you. I left WF a few years back after a decade in a similar role and haven't regretted it for a second. The stress was unreal, and it started affecting my health. My only regret is not leaving sooner. Don't let the sunk cost fallacy keep you there. Update your resume and start applying aggressively. There are better places out there that will value your experience.

I've heard similar complaints, but honestly, every large corporation has its issues. Maybe try to transfer to a different department before jumping ship? Sometimes a change of scenery and a different manager can make all the difference. Compliance is usually swamped everywhere though, not just WF. Just a thought before you ditch 15 years of seniority.
