Anyone else feeling the chill at Workday? Seeing weird signals...

Hey everyone, Been lurking here for a while, and seeing some of the broader tech news has me a bit on edge. Workday specifically feels... quiet? I haven't heard any official word, and my manager is giving the usual 'business as usual' spiel, but there are little things. Some teams seem to have hiring freezes that weren't communicated broadly, and there's been a bit more talk about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' than usual. I know we're not Salesforce or Google, but we're not immune to the industry shifts. The news about other companies cutting roles, even if it's not us directly, makes you wonder. Has anyone else picked up on anything? Any whispers in the Slack channels or hallway conversations (remember those?) that seem a little off? Trying to gauge if I'm just being paranoid or if there's something to this unease. Curious to hear if anyone else is feeling this, or if it's just me overthinking things. Stay safe out there.

I've definitely noticed some of the same things. The 'efficiency' talk has ramped up, and while I understand the need to be smart about resources, it does create a bit of an unsettling atmosphere. Been trying to focus on my own projects and deliver results, but it's hard not to pick up on the underlying uncertainty. Hopefully, it's just the usual seasonal ebb and flow, but I'm keeping an eye out for any more concrete information.

Yeah, the whisper network is buzzing with similar concerns. The lack of official communication when there are subtle shifts like hiring pauses can be the most anxiety-inducing part. It's understandable for management to want to avoid unnecessary panic, but transparency, even if it's just acknowledging that things are being evaluated, would go a long way. Let's hope for some clarity soon.
