Heard anything about roles being offshored?

So, I'm in engineering, and I overheard my manager talking to someone (sounded like HR) about 'redundancies' and 'restructuring' within the team. Then, I saw a job posting for a similar role in Bangalore, India. Has anyone else heard anything about Zillow moving some roles overseas? I'm not sure how to feel about this. I understand the business reasons, but it doesn't make it any less stressful for those of us who might be affected. Any insight would be appreciated. I'm trying to figure out if I should start preparing myself.

Yeah, I saw that posting too. It's definitely concerning when you start seeing roles pop up in other countries, especially after hearing talk about redundancies. It might be worth quietly updating your resume and networking a bit, just in case. Better to be prepared than caught off guard. Good luck!

Take it with a grain of salt. Companies often post jobs in multiple locations to attract a wider talent pool and don't always intend to move existing roles. 'Restructuring' can mean a lot of things - maybe a shift in team focus or internal promotions. Don't jump to conclusions until you have more concrete information.
