Anyone else feel the vibe changing at Zoom? Concerned about stability.

Been here a few years, and lately, the atmosphere feels... off. Heard some chatter from friends in other departments about project re-scopes and hiring freezes. Nothing concrete, but the usual 'everything's fine' from management doesn't quite ring true anymore. Saw a post on here a while back about Okta doing layoffs via Zoom, which is just wild. Makes you wonder if the company you dedicate your time to is even thinking about you. Just trying to gauge if others are picking up on the same signals or if I'm just overthinking things. Is it just me, or does it feel like the good times might be over soon? Worried about job security, honestly.

I've definitely noticed a shift too. It's not just you. The constant 'we're pivoting' messages coupled with what feels like a slowdown in exciting new initiatives are a bit unsettling. Remember when it felt like we were on top of the world? Now, there's a palpable sense of caution. It's hard to shake the feeling that priorities have changed, and maybe not for the better. Hoping it's just a temporary adjustment period.

Yeah, the Okta thing was a real eye-opener. It's definitely made people more introspective about job security, and understandably so. When you see other companies, especially tech ones, making drastic moves, it's natural to wonder about your own situation. The lack of transparency can be worse than any news. Just hoping for some clearer communication soon to ease the collective anxiety.
