I'm right there with you. The 'optimization' language can feel like a buzzword for something less positive. It's tough when the ground feels shaky, especially when you've invested time and energy into a place. I've noticed similar shifts in our department, and while there's no overt panic, that underlying unease is definitely present. Keeping an eye on things and updating my resume, just in case.
Totally get the feeling. The constant 'realignments' and leadership shuffle can really disrupt the workflow and morale. It's hard to feel secure when the direction seems to be shifting so rapidly. I've been trying to focus on my immediate tasks, but it's difficult not to speculate about what all these changes mean for the company's future and our roles within it.
