Struggling to read the room after the recent all-hands

Did anyone else feel like the last all-hands was incredibly hollow? They spent 45 minutes talking about 'AI-driven innovation' and 'enterprise resilience,' but didn't address the elephant in the room regarding the slow growth numbers. It feels like leadership is treating us like we're still in the pandemic boom era while simultaneously preparing us for 'leaner times.' I’m tired of the corporate speak masking what feels like an inevitable reduction in force. I know we aren't seeing massive headlines yet, but the way they’re trimming benefits and making the RTO tracking more aggressive makes me feel like they’re just waiting for a convenient time to clear out the more expensive, tenured folks. My team has had three 'reorgs' in twelve months, and each time we lose a little more institutional knowledge. I don't trust the stability of my role anymore, and the lack of transparency is starting to make the daily grind feel pointless. Has anyone else noticed their manager being replaced or teams being merged without clear goals? Seems like the writing is on the wall, even if they aren't typing it out loud yet.

I think everyone felt that disconnect during the call. It’s frustrating when leadership leans on buzzwords like 'resilience' while ignoring the actual numbers on our desks. They want us to keep pushing for massive growth, but the market shift is obvious to anyone paying attention. It really does feel like they are reading from a script written three years ago, totally ignoring the current reality. If they don't start being transparent about the direction, the internal morale is going to keep cratering. Silence on the real issues is just making the anxiety worse for everyone trying to plan their futures here.

Honestly, it felt like a total waste of time. I don't need another presentation on how we are 'pivoting' when the core product strategy hasn't changed to reflect the cooling demand. Every time they ignore the growth slump, it just makes the 'leaner times' warnings feel more like a threat than a reality check. We are all adults; we can handle the truth about the market. Playing these corporate games just makes us feel like numbers on a spreadsheet instead of the people actually building the tools. They really need to stop the posturing and give us a straight answer.
