Is anyone actually safe at KP anymore?
With these incremental layoffs happening every few weeks now, I’m genuinely curious if anyone feels secure in their role. It feels like management is just trimming people in small batches to avoid the headlines that come with a massive 500+ person layoff. I’ve been here for over five years and the anxiety is becoming suffocating. My manager keeps telling us it's just 'restructuring' and 'resource optimization,' but we all know what that translates to. Anyone else seeing their team shrinking or notice more empty desks in the office? I’m starting to think it’s time to polish the resume before the next batch of notices hits. I love the mission, but the constant instability is taking a massive toll on my mental health.
Another round of cuts? 11 people let go in CA
Just saw the latest WARN filing pop up for October 19th. Looks like KP is cutting another 11 people across Oakland and Pasadena with an effective date of December 18th. I know the number seems small compared to the mass layoffs we’ve seen in the past, but the timing right before the holidays is brutal. Does anyone know if this is tied to a specific department or if this is just more 'operational streamlining'? The transparency here is nonexistent as usual. Every time a new notice hits the state site, the mood on the floor drops. Really feeling the 'thriving' culture evaporating day by day.
